Project Description

The Microgrid project is designed to include two complimentary components. The installation of a new microgrid system consisting of a 126-kW carport system with a 1200 kW/600 kWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) coupled with (3) 1.2 MW natural gas-fired generator sets, a new AGO Congelo chiller, exhaust gas treatment system (SCR), and evaporative cooling tower to electric power self-generation independent of utility supply.

Project Development Solutions provided project engineering, design and permitting support, onsite construction management of all sub-contractors (electrical, civil, structural, mechanical, etc.) and successfully executed the scheduling, delivery, offloading, and installation of the major electrical equipment (HV switchgear, MV switchgear, transformers, battery storage), Gas Powered gensets (3), cooling tower, ammonia refrigerated chiller (AGO Congelo), ammonia system, for gas engines Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), with a weight range from 1 to 90+ tons.

      •    Defining and documenting project objectives.
      •    Developing a stakeholder register.
      •    Identifying and documenting required Authority Having
            Jurisdiction (AHJ) approvals and permits.
      •    Gathering and documenting demonstration facility
             requirements and expectations.
      •    Developing conceptual cost estimates and project
             timelines.
      •    Documenting project execution strategy.
      •    Facilitating and coordinating third-party SOW review and
             feedback.
