The Microgrid project is designed to include two complementary components. Project A will incorporate a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and a hybrid generator (natural gas/diesel/renewable fuel) alongside a new solar photovoltaic system at a local institute. Project B will establish a mini-demonstration Microgrid that integrates a variety of energy sources, both conventional and renewable, and features a mobile BESS that can connect or disconnect as needed.
For Project A, the scope covers all phases from engineering and design to testing, commissioning, and startup of the microgrid. Project B will begin with a feasibility phase to assess demonstration technologies, followed by similar comprehensive steps from engineering to startup for the mini-demonstration project.
